July 7, 2025 marked a turning point for CANAL+ subscribers in French-speaking Africa. The group launched its new TOUT CANAL+ package, a brand-new premium offering including Netflix, the fruit of a strategic partnership announced last June. This makes CANAL+ the first operator to distribute Netflix in sub-Saharan Africa.

Now available in Rwanda, "IKIRENGA” package offers an ‘all-in-one’ experience: more than 400 channels, radio stations and services, CANAL+ channels, the DStv English Plus option with 4 SuperSport channels, and above all the entire Netflix catalogue, including flagship series such as Squid Game, Emily in Paris and Stranger Things.

Available at 35,000 RWF, this offer comes with an enhanced experience, giving access to more than 50,000 on-demand contents via the CANAL+ app or the Décodeur Connecté.

According to Aziz Diallo, CANAL+ CEO for French-speaking Africa: "Our subscribers want the best of African and international content in one place. This offer meets their expectations with an unrivalled connected experience.

With this initiative, CANAL+ confirms its ambition to offer its subscribers even more, by bringing together the best in global entertainment in a single package.

TOUT CANAL+ Netflix: subscribers hail a ‘revolutionary’ offer

Since the launch of the new TOUT CANAL+ package with Netflix in French-speaking Africa, subscriber reactions have been swift. In Rwanda, the feedback has been enthusiastic overall.

On social networks, many users are hailing a long-awaited initiative. ‘At last, one formula for everything’, wrote one subscriber on Facebook, while another was delighted: ‘No more juggling between apps, everything is now on the CANAL+ connected decoder.

The integration of Netflix is seen as a real leap forward. Fans of international series such as Stranger Things or Squid Game appreciate the ease of access, but also the possibility of discovering successful African productions such as Blood & Water or Kings of Joburg.

Some subscribers also emphasise the added value of the offer: ‘For 35,000 RWF, you get Netflix, sports channels, films, series... it's unbeatable’, comments a user on X (former Twitter).

However, there have been calls for better internet accessibility, which is essential if you are to enjoy on-demand content to the full.

Despite these reservations, the launch is seen as a strategic success for CANAL+, which is strengthening its position as Africa's leading entertainment channel. One thing is certain: subscribers are asking for more.
