Amagaju FC on Sunday, July 6, announced the signing of Burundian striker Eddy Nibibona from Rukinzo FC on a two-year deal.
Nibibona, 23, finished the 2024/25 season as Burundi’s top tier division top scorer with 20 goals, a performance that earned him a place in the team of the season after helping Rukinzo FC finish third in the league with 52 points.
He had reportedly attracted interest from several Rwandan clubs including Rayon Sports, AS Kigali, Police FC, and Mukura Victory Sports.
Nibibona is among new signings that Amagaju FC announced, days before starting training for the new season. Others include 23-year-old Franck Ntakirutimana who joined the Nyamagabe-based side from Musongati FC, and 21-year-old Assouman Fati from Kayanza United. They each signed a two-year-deal until June 2027.

The trio joins Desire Iradukunda who also penned a two-year contract from Ngozi FC on Saturday.
Amagaju FC also extended contracts of four of their players including team captain Jean Claude Nyakagezi, Edouard Ndayishimiye, Daniel Iradukunda, and Cyrille Sebagenzi.
Rayon sign Malian goalie Drissa Kouyaté, Biramahire stays
Rayon Sports have signed Malian goalkeeper Drissa Kouyaté on a two-year contract.
Kouyaté, 26, previously played for AC Leopards de Dolisie and FC Nouadhibou in Mauritania (2019–21). He then spent a season at Stade Malien, returned for another season at FC Nouadhibou before joining ASKO Kara in Togo.
He has also represented Mali at youth international levels, featuring for the U-17, U-20, and U-23 national teams.

The Blues also extended the contract of striker Abeddy Biramahire on a two-year deal, with the possibility of further extension.
Biramahire signed Rayon Sports in January on a five-month deal and he rose to the big occasion as the club’s main man upfront after star striker Fall Ngagne picked up a lengthy injury.
