Local Government Minister, Christophe Bazivamo, has called upon German investors to take up investment opportunities in renewable energy.

In a meeting with Roger Lewentz, the Secretary of State in Rhineland – Palatinate’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Sports, Bazivamo also identified infrastructure and agro-processing as other potential areas for investment.

Rwanda and Rhineland – Palatinate enjoy a cordial relationship that has reaped fruits for most districts of the country through different training programs.

Bazivamo requested his German counterpart for more opportunities in technical and vocational training of Rwanda’s youth, strengthening cooperation in trade and enhancing cooperation between the private sectors of both places.

The German province assisted in funding the construction of Africa’s biggest solar energy plant at Jali in Gasabo district.

The infrastructure cost one million Euros, approximately Frw700 million.
