APR Dutch Coach Erik Paske risks a touchline ban after he was sent off from the technical bench during Saturday’s league opener against Police at Mumena stadium.

Paske was shown a straight red card by referee Michel Gasingwa after interfering with play as a Jimmy Gatete inspired Police side pressed hard for a point.

The Ferwafa Chief Executive Officer Jules Kalisa told Times Sport yesterday that Paske’s fate will be known later this week after a meeting between the federation and the coaching body, an association responsible for the welfare of local club coaches.

"In normal circumstances, a coach who has been sent off is banned from the touchline but we are waiting for the coaching body’s stand before we take any action,” Kalisa said.

Paske walked onto the pitch to kick out a ball that had been thrown from the crowd but Gasingwa did not like the gesture and reacted by dismissing the coach.

A brace from Bokota Labama and Lwamba Bebeto saw the reigning champions through against a spirited and hard tackling Police side.

Police’s new signing Gatete had a hand in the side’s two goals, to show that he is still a top quality player.  Police’s goals were scored by Abdulkarim Gashugi and Eric Yirirwahandi.

2008 champions Atraco also registered a slim away 2-1 win over Marines.

Jabir Mutarambirwa and Uganda Cranes influential midfielder Johnson Bagoole scored for the taxi-men side while Gabriel Mugabo pulled one back for the Rubavu-based side.

A brace from Amin Mwizerwa earned AS Kigali a 2-0 victory over Mukura while Etincelles came off 3-2 winners against Amagaju.

SC Kiyovu won 2-0 courtesy of Fuadi Ndayisenga and Ideslbrand Nshuti while Rayon Sport’s Peter Kagabo’s effort earned the Blues a slim 1-0 victory over Electrogaz.
