Mr. Greg Cunningham, from your letter I can tell that your views are those described in the USA as conservative.  You seem to think that Africans, especially people of Rwanda do not know exactly who Bush is and what he stood for.

Criticizing Bush is exactly why Obama won the election and dare I say, one of the many reasons why the Noble prize was awarded to him.

You seem to also be insinuating that there is bad government under Obama’s administration in the USA.

It is difficult to understand what criteria you are basing your assessment on, but I would say that compared to Bush’s administration, the Obama administration is doing a heck of job.

Don’t forget that the whole world today is paying a heavy price for Bush’s bad governance. 

Allow me to go through some of the points on the list you provided and show the readers how you are misrepresenting Obama’s policies.

Kevin Jennings has admitted that the boy in question was not a minor and the boy has testified to that effect. As for his sexual orientation, I find nothing wrong with a gay man holding that position. But of course the likes of you will say otherwise.

Choice implies that there is a level playing filed. There is no choice today in USA when it comes to health care. When millions of poverty-stricken Americans cannot afford to buy health insurance, then one would comprehend that something is not right.

As for funding abortion, the real question would be to ask you this: Does abortion not happen today under the status quo? Research has shown that under Bush, the number of abortion has not gone down, so his policies clearly did not work.

I assume that with this point you are referring to "Don’t ask don’t tell policy” where openly gay individuals are not allowed to serve but can serve if they don’t acknowledge their sexual orientation.

Back in the days black folks were not allowed to serve in the military, but I bet you would say that that was wrong. So why discriminate today not based on colour but on sexual orientation? Any discrimination is wrong.

The Middle East is clearly a complex case but when you say that the health care bill being proposed is going to provide medical expenses to Middle Eastern Arabs is misrepresentation of the Healthcare bill.

"Obama has not visited Israel, our ally, who defends the developed world”. Did you even check facts before writing this letter?

Obama visited Israel as a candidate; he has met with the Israeli prime minister on several occasions. Israel now is the defender of the developed world?! Yes he has visited Arabs countries because unlike Bush, he does not think Arabs are evil.

He is trying to pacify a world terrified by Bush’s administration, which had no regards for other countries sovereignty. Today, most countries can breathe at last without thinking they are next on the list of countries to invade.

It is unbelievable to think that a man who claims to be a founder of a religious ministry is advocating discrimination against Arabs, gays and lying about the actual policies of the USA president.

I am sure Rwandans know better and believe that Obama is worthy of the Noble Peace Prize!
