AFTER a fine start to the 2009/10 season, Kiyovu’s new coach Jean Marie Ntagwabira has warned the league big guns to beware of his team.

Kiyovu made their title intentions clear after Sunday’s 2-0 victory over promoted side Musanze.

Ntagwabira is confident his new club has the quality to challenge and win the league this season.

Talking to Times Sport after Sunday’s win, the former Amavubi assistant coach insisted that they were not playing to only finish in the top four teams but to challenge the likes of APR and Atraco for the league title.

"When you are coaching at a big club like Kiyovu, the ultimate goal is always to win trophies and this is what I’m here for. It could take some time but the desire is there to try and win something this season,” the former APR coach added.

Ntagwabira is without doubt Rwanda’s most successful coach after winning four league titles, three Amahoro Cups and one Cecafa title with APR.

Besides being the oldest club in Rwanda, Kiyovu also stands out as one of the most successful clubs.

The club has three league titles and two Amahoro Cups onto their name.
