The students made the decision at the end of a one-week training on the dangers of Genocide and its ideology, held last week.

The students made the decision at the end of a one-week training on the dangers of Genocide and its ideology, held last week.
The training was conducted by the National Commission against Genocide (CNLG).
"Eight schools countrywide have undergone similar training. The intention is to help the students to contribute to the fight against Genocide ideology and build a brighter future,” said Ildephonse Karengera, a CNLG official.
The students admitted that Genocide ideology has been prevalent among some sections of the students’ community in the recent past.
"We have resolved to stem Genocide ideology and respect each other regardless of ethnicity, while building a community full of love.
We hope to become responsible citizens by changing the history of this country,” Sandrine Munezero, a student stated.
The Bishop of Kabgayi, Smargade Mbonyintege and Yvonne Mutakwasuku, the Mayor of Muhanga urged the students to build a bright future and a legacy of love.
