Uganda v Rwanda

GRACE Nyinawumuntu has urged his defense to step up their play when the national women junior team locks horns with Inyemera this afternoon.

Today’s tie is part of the team’s build up to next weekend’s 2011 World Cup qualifier against Uganda. The October 24 tie will be staged at Uganda’s Nakivubo stadium.

Nyinawumuntu, who also doubles as AS Kigali coach has been far from impressed with his defense that has let in 20 goals in friendlies against Rwanda’s junior wasps and a select side from Remera.

"We need to tighten up our defense because we have conceded a lot of goals in our last two warm up games.

Of course there were a lot of positives as well because we were playing against male opposition,” she said.

"Tomorrow, we shall play against Inyemera. It’s a good side and we should have a good picture of the team.”

Inyemera finished fourth in last year’s national women league last year, and proved to be a handful to the big teams.
