RUBAVU - Police in Rubavu District are holding four people who are alleged to have killed 22 year old Nzabanita Nsangiranabo, whose body was found in a trench on Wednesday.

Sources say Nsangiranabo of Kanzenze sector in Rubavu could have been murdered on Monday.

According to the source, police mounted a search after residents reported that Nsangiranabo had gone missing.
Police confirmed the arrest, saying those arrested are the prime suspects.

"Four people who had fought the deceased the previous day in a bar have been arrested as prime suspects,” police said.

The suspects were identified as Boniface Niyonsaba, Jean Damascene Niyibizi, Jean Baptist Dusabimana and Mbwite Dusabimana, all residents of kirerema cell.

"We are waiting for a post-mortem report from Gisenyi Hospital, but the man’s body was found with eyes removed,” said police, adding that upon arrest the suspects denied the murder charges.
