AFTER crowing off the 2009 season with last weekend’s Carre’d’AS tournament, the local volleyball governing body (FRVB) has drafted training sessions to keep national volleyball players in shape ahead of future tournaments.

The pre-selected 18-man team will start training later this month at Amahoro Indoor stadium.

However, the federation’s Executive Secretary Gertrude Kubwimana noted that they are still looking for some one to manage the team.

"In the meantime, we are looking for a coach to handle the team,” Kubwimana said. Like last year, APR exerted their dominance on the local scene by securing a treble; league, Carre d’AS and Rutsindura memorial trophy.

Their women counterparts went a notch better by sweeping all the trophies on offer; league, Coupe du Rwanda, Rutsindura Memorial and Carre d’AS.
