The Rwandan showbiz community is mourning the loss of Chriss Eazy’s mother, who passed away on the morning of June 13.
According to Junior Giti, who manages the artist’s affairs, she had been receiving treatment at Nyarugenge Hospital for several days. "She had been ill, but even last night she told us she was feeling better and expected to be discharged in the morning," Giti said. "We were shocked when we received the news of her passing."

Chriss Eazy shared a close bond with his mother, often featuring her in dance videos and on his YouTube channel, where they spoke openly about his upbringing and personal life. She had become a familiar figure to his fans, known for her warmth and spirited support of her son's music career.
In a recent appearance, she revealed that the song "Inana” was a favorite of hers. She expressed pride in watching her son achieve his dream of becoming one of Rwanda’s most recognized musical talents.
Reflecting on his birth during a heartfelt exchange, she told him, "You were born so hungry that the doctor placed you in intensive care. But you were so strong, you refused to go in. Even as a baby, you had a fight in you.” She described him as a "warrior in life,” a reminder of the struggle and resilience that marked the day he was born.
Chriss Eazy responded to her passing with a brief but emotional message: "Sweetheart, this wasn’t the time to tell the truth.”
Funeral details had not yet been announced by press time.
