THE national rugby team, Silverbacks has turned to daily training sessions ahead of next month’s Hima-Makerere 10 a-side tournament. The four-day event which is a regular event on the Uganda rugby calendar kicks off November 7 at Kampala’s Kyadondo club.

THE national rugby team, Silverbacks has turned to daily training sessions ahead of next month’s Hima-Makerere 10 a-side tournament.

The four-day event which is a regular event on the Uganda rugby calendar kicks off November 7 at Kampala’s Kyadondo club.

The pre-selected 24-man team was drawn from the league’s top five clubs; Buffaloes, Sharks, Lion de fer, Gorillas and UNR Grizzlies.

Silverbacks head coach Jean de Paix Hategekimana told Times Sport that the squad will be trimmed down to 15 at the end of next week.

He also noted that the daily sessions would bring out the best in the team.
