ICTR pending Cases transfer to the EAC Court of Justice

Editor, While as I agree that the EAC Court of Justice as presently constituted cannot legally accept this transference of duty on the Pending Rwanda Genocide Trail, this hindrance is a simple matter of legislation to give effect to this reality should it be determined appropriate to transfer responsibility to this Court.

Editor,

While as I agree that the EAC Court of Justice as presently constituted cannot legally accept this transference of duty on the Pending Rwanda Genocide Trail, this hindrance is a simple matter of legislation to give effect to this reality should it be determined appropriate to transfer responsibility to this Court.

I am flabbergasted by assertions that the "EAC itself is just a new regional contrivance that has as yet no history as an international organization” and consider that such a position in this day and age is indefensible by rational arguments -what indeed is the essential point of this EAC thing if it is not to generated a greater Critical Mass of our people?  Hasn’t Ntarugera Deo

Koya who wrote the letter and others with similar opinions not heard of the famous saying about not having your cake and eating it?

Let us pulls ourselves out of any narrowness of philosophies that identify us, and expand ourselves. That indeed is the vision the drives the East African Community, my friends.
