Vaccination on course in Gicumbi

GICUMBI- The vaccination of children against polio and measles which was launched on Tuesday, continues to attract high turn out from parents at different health centers across the entire district.

The Director of Byumba Hospital, Dr. Deocles Mukama reiterated that all health centers in the district are required to carry out the vaccination and provide Vitamin A drugs to expectant  mothers. 

"There are arrangements to conduct vaccination of school going children from their schools,” he said.  

Speaking to The New Times in a separate interview at Gacurabwenge Cell, Byumba Health Center nurses conducting the vaccination exercise said they also provide related services like de-worming tablets to children.
