MTN Peace cup finalists Mukura football club have reinforced their squad with five new signings, hours before the transfer deadline.

Karim Bangamwabo (striker) and Papy Habimana (defender) came from Military and Etincelles while the trio of Mussa Claude (defensive midfielder), Gilbert Kabati (attacking midfielder), and Serge Chek (Goal keeper) are from DR. Congo’s Manyema.

The Huye based side is keen on challenging the top three-APR, Atraco and Rayon Sport.

"The team is still riding high on confidence after a good run in last season’s MTN Peace Cup last year but with the new singings, we hope to challenge the top three,” Mukura’s head coach Ali Bizimungu said.

Last season, Mukura enjoyed a fairytale run in the MTN Peace Cup until the final when Atraco secured a 1-0 win to lift the Cup.
