Dr. Freddy Sangala, a doctor at the hospital who attended to Kemirembe, told The New Times that the woman underwent a successful operation and the babies were healthy.

"The babies are in a stable condition. We successfully conducted an operation after tests showed that she was to give birth to triplets. It’s a great milestone we have experienced here,” he said.

Dr. Sangala added that the hospital is working hard to see that the mother recovers fully before she is discharged.
"We are paying total attention on her for the purposes of assisting her to fully recover,” he said.

Speaking to The New Times in her maternity ward on Monday, Kemirembe said that she did not experience any hardships prior to delivery.

"At first I was very scared after doctors told me that I was to give birth to triplets. I could not believe this could happen to me,” an excited Kemirembe said.

She however, expressed worries over her children’s post natal care after leaving the hospital, saying that she will not be able to cater for all the needs of the newly born babies.

"The only worry is how I will look after these newly born babies. We are financially constrained within my family. We call upon well wishers for support,” she said.
