Clubs given until June 10 to sign new players for Club World Cup

Member Associations of world football governing body, FIFA, whose teams will participate in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the US will have a special transfer window to reinforce their squads before the tournament kicks off.

Teams set to participate in the clubs’ world cup now have from June 1-10 to register new signings that they could use in the tournament, as indicated in the statement issued by FIFA on Thursday, May 22.

"All member nations and their affiliated clubs are allowed to sign new players to compete in the tournament from June 1. The deadline for the final player list has been set on June 10, allowing each participating club to bring any new players signed in this special window to the United States," the statement reads in part.

The Member Associations whose clubs will be playing in the FIFA club world cup are Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Egypt, England, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea Republic, Mexico, Morocco, New Zealand, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Spain, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates and the United States.

The tournament will take place in the United States from June 14 to July 15. The match which will open the tournament will see Egypt’s Al Ahly take on home side Inter Miami at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
