APR basketball club will, at 7PM today, get its Basketball Africa League (BAL) 2025 Nile Conference second round underway with a rematch against South Africa’s Made by Ball (MBB).

The Rwandan team has a 2-1 record currently, having won two games and lost one in the conference so far.

APR began its BAL 2025 journey by beating Kenya's Nairobi City Thunder (NCT) and MBB, before losing their third game 68-90 to Libyan giants Al Ahli Tripoli on Tuesday, May 20.

Al Ahli now top the conference ranking with a 3-0 record after winning all their three first round matches. APR follow with a 2-1 record while MBB are third with a 1-2 win ratio. NCT find themselves at the bottom with a 0-3 record.

Encouraged by their first ever win in the BAL on Tuesday, MBB will try to build on their strong performance against APR.

MBB head coach Sam Vincent insists that the key is to be patient, play together, and avoid getting overexcited after their first win: "It&039;s exciting, but more importantly, we have to stay focused and keep working, and that's what we're going to do in the next couple of games."

"For the next game, we're just going to focus on what didn't work," said APR guard Obadiah Noel.

For now, APR are only required to win one game to qualify. Beating MBB would see them secure a ticket to Pretoria, South Africa.
