RWANDA’S Junior Wasps continued with their mediocre performances in international engagements after crashing out of this year’s Francophone Games in Beirut, Lebanon.

After picking three points from their Group A ties against Canada (3-2) and defending champions Cameroon (1-3), the team’s best chance of qualifying for the semi-final rested on a best second spot finish.

However, DR Congo’s goalless draw against Ivory Coast in Group C meant that the two sides progressed to the last four after amassing four points.

Canada, who stunned Cameroon 2-0 in Group A’s final tie progressed on goal difference.

Much as Rwanda, Cameroon and Canada finished level on points (three), Canada enjoyed a goal difference of one, Cameroon had zero while Rwanda had -1.

Morocco claimed the final semi-final slot after topping Group B.
