School gets new hostel

GATSIBO - Plan International Rwanda has constructed a hostel worth Rwf200 million that will accommodate girls at Kiziguro Secondary School in Gatsibo District.The dormitory has the capacity to accommodate close to 600 students. According to Alfred Mupenzi, Plan International’s education advisor in the district, the hostel was constructed in line with the project’s vision of promoting education in the district.

GATSIBO - Plan International Rwanda has constructed a hostel worth Rwf200 million that will accommodate girls at Kiziguro Secondary School in Gatsibo District.
The dormitory has the capacity to accommodate close to 600 students. 

According to Alfred Mupenzi, Plan International’s education advisor in the district, the hostel was constructed in line with the project’s vision of promoting education in the district. 

"It’s part of our agenda to promote education in the district,” he said. 

Mupenzi added that the dormitory has been fully completed. It is  only waiting for official inauguration. 

"Students have already started using the hostel. It is fully completed and we shall launch it officially very soon,’ he said.  

In an interview, the school’s headmaster, Fr. Isidore Karinijabo, commended the construction as a good gesture that will remain a memorable achievement.  

"It is a great donation for sure. Plan International has really helped us out of the school’s accommodation problems we have been facing,” he said.
