Amavubi goalkeeper Maxime Kali Wenssens has joined Belgian third tier club KVV Thes Sports on a one-year deal.

Wenssens 23, has been without a club since leaving Union Saint Gilloise a year ago.

The Rwandan shot stopper had trials with clubs including Jong Ajax and Roda JC in the January transfer window but failed to secure a deal.

The move to Thes Sports is good for him as he hopes to get back to his best form. Thes Sports finished 5th at the just-concluded 2024/25 season and will be aiming for a spot in the second division next season.

Wenssens previously played for clubs including KV Mechelen.
