NURC takes on land wrangles resolving 

A team from the National Unity and Reconciliation Commission is currently on a country-wide tour meeting residents of different districts in a bid to resolve land disputes.

The tour started in Gisagara district and has so far covered several districts.

Awards for best built latrines

Thirty residents of Kanzagwe and Nyakiriba sectors in Rubavu district have been awarded for having well dug pit latrines in their homesteads.

"WATER TO ALL” project handed the awards on Thursday.
Among the prizes which were given to the residents included cleaning equipment worth of Rwf1 million.

Speaking to the residents, the district officials revealed that some residents are still without latrines.

Kicukiro district emphasizes family planning

Officials charged with Family Planning in Kicukiro district are holding a two-week workshop with the residents to boost the programme in the district.

Florence Kirabwa, an official charged with family planning in kicukiro district said that the programme is not only for women and urged men to also get involved.   

She added that the district wants to hit 40 percent from the current 16percent improvement on family planning in this year.
