If you are jobless today, it is bad enough because you are idle and insecure about your future, but good enough that you have all the time in the world for yourself to plan for that same future.
When you get a job you get a source of income but lose time to spend with your family and friends, apart from new job related woes. When you lose the same job, yo worry about being jobless but again you get an opportunity to get a new and sometimes better paying job.
Gerry Robert, the author of The Millionaire Mindset calls it the Law of Polarity. Gerry says that there are two sides to everything in nature except gravity.
Every circumstance in life has its opposite. Every situation can be seen two ways. If something is very bad then it holds the potential to be very good. If a situation is terrible then it can also be fantastic from a different point of view. If something is terrible, it has the ability to be fantastic on the other side.
You can’t have an inside without an outside. It can’t be a long way up and not be a long way down. If you have an inside of a book then you must have an outside of the book. There are two sides to absolutely everything. Why is it that so many people only focus on one side?
Think about it. Rwanda had the worst experience in its history and was regarded at the bottom of all nations, pitied by everyone a little over a decade ago.

The law of polarity thus empowers you to find good in every bad. Bad people should be helped to discover their good side.
In that that very bad moment you are experiencing is an opportunity for something good to come out of it. Putting it in a different way, every cloud has a silver lining. Failure is just a temporary destruction on your way to success. If you give up because you have found failure, then you have lost the opportunity to reach success.
On the other hand success or achievement or good moments are not eternal. It takes work to stay on top of any situation.
Complacency will not help you but ruin your chances of growing in whichever way you intend to grow. It does not hurt to try to find the good in that bad experience you are going through. Instead, it helps an awful lot to look on the positive side of things in those moments.
