Editor,

It was extremely disheartening to hear that one of Rwanda’s representatives in the ongoing ‘Tusker Project Fame’, upon landing at Kigali International Airport, did not find anybody to welcome him back home.

Christian was evicted from the ‘Project Fame’ a music talent search show in Nairobi, a few days ago. He was representing our country hoisting our flag high, just like the peacekeeping troops (RDF) in Darfur are doing, but no one appreciated it.

When the Amavubi jet out and lose miserably, we still go ahead to give them a heroes welcome, one which is often organized by the Ministry of Sports.

I think anybody that goes out, with hope of raising our flag, should be accorded the same treatment.

Even the locals should have organized themselves to show some moral support for these Rwandans like most of our East African friends do with their representatives in such events.

Christian, I am proud of you and I hope you continue moving places. Go…..go Christian.
