Editor,

It is heart-warming to realize that Rwanda is endowed with a forward looking, disciplined and progressive youth.

I was impressed to discover that there is a group of young men and women in the name of Peace and Love Proclaimers (PLP) who are actually doing things which even a fully supported institution cannot attempt to.

These are people between the age of 13 and 23 who mobilized themselves to reach out and support vulnerable groups in our society; the majority of them are students who haven’t started earning a salary but they have mobilized their pocket money to pay school fees for orphans.

What is heart-breaking is the fact that despite their many productive activities, which has included conducting the WALK TO REMEMBER and outreach to child-headed households, these guys, do not have means of transport.

There are also a number of other youth who are struggling to bring positive changes.

My humble appeal to the Government and other organizations is to support these enthusiastic young men and women and allow them pursue their wonderful causes.

This is because they have shown that their commitment to do what they do comes from their hearts and is motivated by nothing else.
