MTN Rwanda donated food stuffs to over 1000 vulnerable Muslims in Kigali city as part of this year’s Eid ul-Fitr celebrations.

The donation worth Rwf4m was sunday handed over to the Imam of Kigali, Sheikh Selemani Byagusetsa by MTN sponsorship Coordinator, Bosco Sendahangarwa.

"We also want the vulnerable groups to be part of others in celebrating and enjoying such a day,” Sendahangarwa said.
He urged them to ensure partnership amongst themselves and work hand-in-hand with other religions.

"By this time, the Rwandan community should not be based on religion, but rather on what is the best for the country to develop,” he said.

The MTN donation follows others from Nyarugenge District and Bank of Kigali.

The Imam, described this year’s Eid ul-Fitr as having gone well compared to the previous ones.

He thanked all those who extended their help to them and urged all those who benefited from the donations to work hard so that they can also help others.
