Bugesera FC head coach Camarade Banamwana has vowed to rescue the club from relegation from topglight football

Newly-appointed Bugesera FC head coach Camarade Banamwana has assured the fans that he was signed to rescue the club from being relegated to the second division.

Banamwana was appointed new head coach of the Nyamata-based club earlier last week, taking over Francis Haringingo who resigned from his role due to a string of poor results.

The new coach was on the touchline when Moise Nyarugabo and Farouk Sentongo helped Bugesera FC come from behind to beat Marines 2-1 in Nyamata, a result that moved them out of relegation zone and climbed to 13th place with 27 points.

Banamwana told Times Sport that it is good start for him as he bids to help the club avoid relegation.

"It was an important win for me and my players against a good side like Marines and, hopefully, we can build on it in the next fixtures because I am here to help the team to stay in top division and it is possible. My payers, administration are ready for every battle,” he said.

The former Vision FC tactician said that winning against Marines is a big boost as the battle to stay in the topflight division next season continues.

"We have a good team, and we have what it takes to compete and win the matches as we showed against Marines. I am sure we can do it against any opposition ahead of us. We have big battles ahead of us but we will continue to fight hard as we take each of the remaining matches like a final,” he noted,
