Stop the porn in Sports View Hotel

Editor,

I am disappointed, very disappointed indeed. What has happened to our morals? I write this with a lot of bitterness by seeing just how businessmen have gone to low levels of morality in the name of attracting customers.

On Friday the 18th of September I went to Sports View Hotel for dinner at around 8pm. The place was calm and barely empty but there were children playing at the meeting hall and running around the whole place.

As my friends and I enjoyed a beef stew, we noticed that the chefs, waiters, the Manager, and other customers staring and grinning at the screen that was airing a pornographic movie from a French channel.

We all turned and yes it was nudity, we could no longer be served as the waiters were laughing sheepishly and the chefs now were out of the kitchen to get a clearer view.

I demanded the channel to be changed since some children had started staring. They switched it off hesitantly. Later one guy, who had a little too many to drink, demanded the porn to be put back and it was.

When I threatened to call authorities that’s when they apologized and switched it off.

Such an act should be punishable and even DSTV or Star Media should not be allowed to have such packages for the sake of our morals and dignity.

Sports View Hotel, you need to know that not all of us are perverts and we need not to see such things.
