Rutsiro FC head coach Moussa Gatera has accused his players of deliberately allowing APR to win Saturday's clash against them at Umuganda Stadium on Saturday.

Gatera’s comments came after the army side put five past the Rutsiro District-sponsored club to reclaim their top spot with 52 points, two ahead of title rivals Rayon Sports who visit Etincelles at Umuganda Stadium on Sunday.

The experienced gaffer questioned the performance exhibited by his players as they freely gifted APR goals which led to his side’s hammering.

"I don’t know, but it could be possible. If you see a player who has the ball passing it to an opponent, leading to us conceding a goal, and you see someone dribbling freely inside the penalty area... Our style of play today was not what I’m used to seeing,” Gatera told the press in a post-match interview.

Rutsiro goalkeeper Arnold Matumere gifted the defending champions two goals after which three more basic defending errors also resulted in goals for the away side.

APR have now moved to the top of the league table as they await Etincelles clash with Rayon Sports on Sunday afternoon.
