BPR Bank Rwanda has re-launched its Biashara Club, an initiative designed to help local businesses, primarily small and medium sized enterprises, by providing them with business growth solutions and advisory services.

The club is also set to empower SMEs through training on scaling up and connecting them with established local and international businesses, which will ultimately lead to acquisition of skills and partnerships.

Biashara Club aids SMEs in accessing BPR Bank services at affordable rates. Members are offered a membership card that provides access to VIP services at its branches. Additionally, members are also able to get essential financial information that will support business expansion.

Typically, new businesses are handicapped with limited knowledge on accounting, human resource management, taxation, and marketing. Biashara Club is resourced to bridge this gap because it delivers key lessons that create skills targeted toward driving efficiency and developing an environment required for productive output.

Transferring skills to new businesses provides an edge in a competitive local and regional market. Engagement with SMEs occurs annually and is accessible to every business with active membership. Also available is access to trending technologies in financial management.

One of the overwhelmingly frequent issues experienced by SMEs is insufficient capital. BPR Bank Biashara Club comes in to solve this challenge by enabling members with the opportunity to secure loans with preferential interest rates which creates working and investment capital, key ingredients for expansive growth.

BPR Bank Rwanda is committed to uplifting the country’s citizenship. In addition to the Biashara Club, the bank has invested in various projects aimed at improving the livelihoods and welfare of Rwandans.

Recently, the bank signed a partnership agreement with ADHI Rwanda Ltd which is expected to help Rwandans secure affordable mortgage loans through the Bwiza Riverside Homes project. The bank also spearheads a skills development program called "Igire” which has educated over 500 youth, several of whom have gone on to create businesses and employment opportunities for their peers.
