APR FC captain Claude Niyomugabo refused to panic after his side suffered a setback in their title race following a 2-2 draw against Etincelles in the Rwanda Premier League on Sunday, April 20.
The draw made an impact for the table as APR dropped to second place with 49 points, one point behind Rayon Sports who moved to the top of the table with 50 points after beating Muhazi United 2-0 on Saturday.
As the league enters the final stage, Niyomugabo said that the title race is far from over as he still believes the team keep fighting until the last day of the campaign.
"For us we need to regroup again, it is tough but it is possible, we had our chances but we couldn’t use them, and that is football, we are in the race, the fight still continues, and we will continue to fight for the remaining matches” he added
APR’s final six fixtures include Rutsiro FC, Marines FC, Amagaju FC, Gorilla FC, Muhazi United and Musanze FC while Rayon Sports have Etincelles, Rutsiro FC, Police FC, Bugesera FC, Vision FC and Gorilla FC in their way to the title they last won during the 2018/2019 season.
