WV donates to health advisors

The World Vision yesterday donated 48 bicycles to health advisors in Bugesera district.

Agnes Mukamana, who was the World Vision representative, said that the donation was to enable the health officials to move around the district.

The residents expressed appreciation towards the donation. 

The WV had earlier donated to Bugesera district $75,000 to help needy patients.

Genocide remains discovered

Residents in Nyabisindu sector in Muhanga district yesterday discovered 7 mass graves containing victims of the 1994 genocide

The graves were discovered at the premises of a Pentecostal church, ADPR. Residents accused former pastors of the church of having had a role in the deaths of the victims.

MPs visit Rubavu

The parliamentary committee in charge of the people’s welfare on Monday visited Rubavu district to inspect the situation in the district.

The district was found to have few hospitals compared to the population, as some residents raised issues of traveling long distances to reach the hospitals for medication.

The MPs briefed the people on sanitation and encouraged them to always bear their children at health facilities.
