There must be consultation before DDT spraying

Mosquito sprayers should have the consent of home-owners before the proceed

Editor,

Allow me through your paper to advise those spraying DDT in people’s homes to stop doing so in an un-professional manner.

I was shocked when I reached home on the 5th of this month to find out they had sprayed my house with DDT, with the aim of killing mosquitoes.

I’m, however, wondering "do these individuals have the right to enter my house and spread the toxin without my permission?”

And if they found the houseboy/girl, do they authorize the spraying?

I will maybe have to talk to my lawyer about this and see the doctor, because I am suffering a rash since then.

I think they should have held a general public discussion about this before embarking on the spraying. Then before spraying, they should ask the owners if she/he wishes so.

Otherwise, what they are doing is unethical, un-professional and against the wishes of some people.
