RUBAVU - Police in Rubavu District are searching for an accountant working for Nyundo Health Centre who allegedly vanished with Rwf7million.

Solange Murekatete, is said to have disappeared days after tendering her resignation letter to the district Mayor, Pierre Twagirayezu, citing the need to pursue further studies.

The loss was however, discovered by internal auditors after her  hand over. "I have asked the sector authorities to be vigilant but we are not sure if she is around.

I appealed to police to help in the search,” the Mayor told The New Times in a phone interview.
