Kwibuka 31: 1:55AM artistes honour Genocide victims in Nyanza

Members of the 1:55AM family on Saturday, April 12, paid their respects to Genocide victims at Nyanza Genocide Memorial in Nyanza District, Southern Province.

The record label, together with members of United Generation Basketball (UGB), held the function and expressed solidarity with genocide survivors in Nyanza, Busasamana Sector, as part of the 31st commemoration of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.

The groups visited the memorial site which is the resting place of more than 31,644 victims. They were guided through the tragic history of the area and the events that unfolded during the Genocide in April 1994.

The likes of Bruce Melodie, Ross Kana and Kenny Sol, who are all signed under 1:55AM record label, were among those who took part in the commemoration activity.

With deep reflection and empathy, the youth paid tribute to the victims, laying wreaths and observing a moment of silence in their honour.
