The 2025 edition of the basketball Genocide memorial tournament will take place from April 23-27, Rwanda Basketball Federation (FERWABA) has announced.

The annual competition aims at honouring the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi through sports and basketball in particular.

According to Fiona Ishimwe, Executive Director of FERWABA, the five-day tournament was organised to pay tribute to more than one million genocide victims by specifically focusing on members of the basketball fraternity who were killed, including players, coaches, and administrators.
