Political parties welcome Doing Business Report

KIGALI - Members of the Forum for Political Parties have commended the government for its outstanding performance in the World Bank 2010 ‘Doing Business’ report. The report placed Rwanda on top of the world as the top reformer in setting up a conducive business environment with a gigantic move from its previous 143rd position to 67th out of 183 countries.

KIGALI - Members of the Forum for Political Parties have commended the government for its outstanding performance in the World Bank 2010 ‘Doing Business’ report.

The report placed Rwanda on top of the world as the top reformer in setting up a conducive business environment with a gigantic move from its previous 143rd position to 67th out of 183 countries.

Speaking during the General Assembly of Forum for Political Parties, the Internal Security Minister Sheikh Musa Fazil Harerimana, who is also its spokesman, hailed the ranking saying it signaled government’s commitment to reform.

"We should now ensure that we maintain these achievements and strive to achieve a single digit ranking,” said the president of the Liberal Party (Party) who is also the Minister of Youth, Protais Mitali.

Rwanda sees the Doing Business Report as a major tool that will attract investments to the country whose business environment is making significant strides.
