The Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) Army Chief of Staff, Maj Gen Vincent Nyakarundi, is attending the African Land Forces Summit underway in Accra, Ghana, RDF announced on Tuesday, April 8.

The meeting runs from April 7 through 10.

According to RDF, the summit was jointly organised by the US Army Africa and the Ghanaian Armed Forces under the theme, "Optimizing Land Forces for the Emerging Security Environment."

The event brings together over 40 Chiefs of Staff or Land Force Commanders from African countries to discuss shared security challenges, it is noted.
