President Paul Kagame, on Monday evening, joined thousands of young people for the Walk to Remember, which began at the Gasabo District headquarters and concluded at BK Arena, marking the beginning of the 100-day commemoration period.
President Kagame also participated in the Kwibuka 31 Night Vigil, where he took part in the candle lighting ceremony "the Flame of Hope", a powerful symbol of resilience and the enduring spirit of the Rwandan people in the aftermath of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
From April 7 to 13, Rwandans and friends of Rwanda across the globe are taking part in commemoration activities to honor the memory of over one million lives lost during the Genocide against the Tutsi, which unfolded over just 100 days, 31 years ago.
