Cricket: Nigeria name squad for Rwanda World Cup qualifying tournament

The Nigerian National Cricket Federation has named a 14-man squad for the T20 World Cup Tournament which will take place in Rwanda, from November 28 to December 8.

The squad was announced on Friday, November 11, as they begun preparations for the competition.

Notable names in the list are skipper Sylvester Okpe, Onwuzilike Chimezie Isaac Okpe, Onikoyi Ademola, Sesan Adedeji, Peter Aho, and Prosper Useni.

Nigeria will be hoping to grab one of the two spots for the 2024 Cricket World Cup which will be held in USA and the West Indies.

Nigeria will face West African rivals Ghana, Sierra Leone, Gambia, Tanzania, Mozambique, Cameroon and Eswatini in Group B.
