The Rwanda FA has summoned Muhazi United assistant coach Jean Baptiste ‘Miggy’ Mugiraneza, Musanze FC players Sheif Batte and Shafiq Bakaki and club assistant coach Japhet Imurora to appear federation’s Ethics Committee on Sunday, April 6 at 8:00 AM.

The Ethics Committee has begun investigations to the alleged match-fixing scandal involving Muginareza who is said to have asked Musanze FC defender Bakaki ‘for a favour’ to play soft against Kiyovu so that the latter would win at Ubworoherane Stadium on March 15.

Mugiraneza was heard in a leaked audio clip promising Bakaki that, if he does the deal for him he would take him to Kiyovu next season. However, the player declined the offer and Musanze went on to win 3-0.

Batte was also invited by the Ethics Committee because it was him who reportedly recorded the telephone call between Mugiraneza and Bakaki while Imurora's name came in because Mugiraneza mentioned that he "hates him.”

Mugiraneza first appeared before the Ethics Committee on March 22, alongside three Musanze FC players, namely Shafiq Bakaki, Jean de Dieu Nsabimana and Anicet Muhire.
