Since January, IremboPlus has been offering CanalBox and CANAL+ subscriptions, but the official launch on April 2 at the Irembo campus in Kigali marked a significant milestone in the way we access TV and internet services.
IremboPlus, a digital marketplace designed to simplify everyday transactions, is transforming the way we interact with businesses. No more waiting on the phone, no more office visits—now, everything from renewals to new subscriptions can be done online, quickly, and hassle-free.
By bringing CANAL+ and CanalBox subscriptions onto the platform, IremboPlus offers a more convenient way for users to manage their TV and internet services, eliminating the previous frustrations of manual payments and long queues.

In his opening remarks, Israel Bimpe, CEO of Irembo, described having CANAL+ and CanalBox on IremboPlus as an important milestone in Irembo’s journey, highlighting that the founding mission of Irembo is to provide convenient access to services, starting with government services.
He discussed the vision behind the creation of IremboPlus, which extends beyond government services to create a complete consumer experience.
"Irembo as a company turned 10 years old last year. Our roots or premises were always about how to build convenience and make convenience the default for how everyone accesses services. As you all know, we started with government services, and that&039;s where this vision came in. We're very grateful for Irembo to be a vision setter alongside us on what this could be and join us in this journey,” he said.
Sophie TCHATCHOUA, CANAL+ CEO, expressed pride in being the first service on Irembo Plus, viewing the collaboration as an exciting milestone for both parties. She reassured the audience that the services have been thoroughly tested since a soft launch in January, making today's official launch an important milestone.
"At CANAL+ Rwanda, we are here to serve the Rwandan people by providing the best entertainment, easily accessible through different platforms. Our vision is to be a brand made for Rwanda, in Rwanda, by Rwanda. This means localizing our products and services bringing more Rwandan content, offering customer support in Kinyarwanda, and ensuring our platform, decoder, and future website reflect the needs of our audience. We are committed to making entertainment truly Rwandan, both in what we offer and how we deliver it. Partnering with IREMBO is in the line of our promise to Rwandan people," she said.
She emphasized that their goal is to provide the best content to households in Rwanda at an affordable price, making quality entertainment accessible to everyone, underlining the ongoing marketing effort to ensure the public is aware of these new services on Irembo plus

According to Aimé Abizera, the CEO of CanalBox, one of the key developments in 2025 has been the integration with Irembo Plus, a platform that will greatly simplify the subscription renewal process for customers.
He highlighted that one of the challenges for CanalBox has been ensuring customers can easily pay their monthly subscriptions. With IremboPlus, CanalBox aims to provide a more efficient and accessible way for clients to renew their subscriptions, especially for those who are not familiar with traditional payment methods.
"One of the pain points we have is how people don’t know how to pay every month for the services. With Irembo, we are proud to provide a platform that is not only reliable but also very efficient. It&039;s going to bring more satisfaction to our clients. We can now look forward to pushing it and making sure that all renewals, at least in Kigali and Rubavu, are now renewing very easily through IremboPlus,” he said
