WATER IS LIFE: Gasagara residents fetch water at the water projectu2019s launch, on Saturday.

Christ for the Nations Ministries, a faith based NGO, Saturday, officially inaugurated a water project and two houses it donated to Gasagara sector in Kabuga District.

The water project cost Rwf 4m and the two houses that were built for orphans living there cost Rwf 6.5 million.
This borehole will be used by over 175 homes in almost 4 sub-sectors.

Gasagara had always suffered problems of water shortages . The beneficiaries could not hide their excitement on the new possibilities associated with having water.

"This water will boost our farming as we shall be able to irrigate during the hot season,” said Leo Muhawimana, a resident.

The two houses that the NGO constructed were also handed over to the new owners who included an elderly woman.

"I must say this house is an answered prayer. I was almost homeless yet I had four orphans to take care of,” said Erina Mwitire, an elderly woman who has been voluntarily looking after the orphans.
