Rwanda Premier League leaders Rayon Sports will go into Saturday’s clash against Mukura VS looking to maintain their unbeaten run when both sides meet at Amahoro Stadium.

If there is one game in this country that has been hard for Rayon over the years, it is when they face Mukura.

Mukura beat Rayon 2-1 in the first leg at Huye Stadium and Saturday’s meeting between the two rivals will bring back lots of memories in either camp hence putting a lot at stake in this particular game.

"I am delighted that Mukura and Rayon are playing today because they know each other and it is always a tough but fair game. This game means a lot to us than any other team in the country,” Blues coach Robertinho.

"Our supporters should come in big numbers and watch a fair game. Both Rayon and Mukura play good football that’s why I promise that the game will be played in a fair condition,” he added.

Rayon Sports have lost just once this season, and the fact that it was only Mukura who beat them makes Saturday match a tough encounter, according to the Brazilian coach.

"It will be a tough game but we need to win it as it could be our best chance to remain at the top of the table, we’ll still have the chance to play African club football so we need to finish this marathon at the top,” he said.

Rayon Sports currently sit top of the league standings with 46 points with APR trailing in 2nd place with 42 points.

Mukura are in sixth place with 30 points and a win against Rayon would move them to the fifth place, having a game in hand against, seventh placed Rutsiro.

Elsewhere, Bugesera will take on Muhazi United at Bugesera Stadium while Rutsiro FC will host Gorilla FC at Umuganda Stadium.

Musanze FC will be up with Amagaju FC at Ubworoherane Stadium as relegation-threatened Kiyovu’s match against Police has been rescheduled to Sunday at Kigali Pele Stadium.

Other Sunday, APR will face Vision at Kigali Pele Stadium, while Marines FC and Etincelles will lock horns on the Rubavu derby at Umuganda Stadium.
