I have always known the Rwanda police to uncompromisingly do their work of seizing criminals in the country. Only this time on Friday November 2nd, did the policemen have it all wrong.

The unsuspecting 129 police personnel were arrested for acts of indiscipline and the correct procedure of expelling them was taken.

What is most surprising here is the fact that the arrests are not happening for the first time and the number of detainees has grown even bigger.

This helps us understand that the National police of Rwanda can not stomach dubious behavior among its employees.

It also serves as a wake-up call to the Rwanda National police who had learnt to take things for granted. Many times, the police assume that they are above the law.

Unlike in many other African countries, the police of Rwanda is reliable and still hold its confidence in the public.
