Element, Frery, Okkama nominated for African Entertainment Awards USA

Fred Robinson Mugisha commonly known as Element or Eleeh, Frery Nkotanyi and Ossama Masut Khalid known as Okkama are the Rwandan creators who have been nominated for the African Entertainment Award USA (AEAUSA).

Alongside Guilty Beatz, DJ Maphorisa, Spellz and others, Element was nominated for producing hit songs which include Joli by Kenny Sol, Inana by Chriss Eazy and Katapilla by Bruce Melodie.

Together with Sasha Vybz, TG Omori and others, Frery has been nominated as the video director of the year. His videos include No hook by DJ Toxxyk ft Maestro Boomin, Please Me by Juno Kizigenza, Demo by Ariel Wayz, Bruce the First, Soldier Kid, Sagamba and Kivumbi King among others.

Alongside Black Sherif, Asake and others, Okkama is also eyeing the Best New Artist award for his Iyallah, Puculi, Toto and others.

The creators are now mobilizing votes from the public through the awards’ website. Number 14 as the best new artist nomination, 28 as the best producer nomination and 31 as the video creator of the year nomination.

Speaking to The New Times Element said, "I think this nomination has proven that Rwandan music is international and recognized. I am blessed to be nominated. It gives me courage to do more and it will help me grow.”

Element urges his fans, especially Rwandans to support Rwanda by voting.

AEAUSA is a non-Profit Organization established in New Jersey USA to support, celebrate and uplift African Entertainment. The 8th Annual AEAUSA Awards Show will take place on 18 December 2022.

The AEAUSA awards has 38 categories in which big African artists like Wizkid, Davido, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade have been nominated.
