Fina Bank has shifted to new premises in Kibuye town with an aim of improving its services in the area.

Ministry of Finance holds seminar

The Ministry of Finance on Monday organised a seminar at Umutara Polytechnic University on how the current economic crisis is affecting Rwanda. 

The ministry was represented by André Habimana, the director of the Development Planning Unit in the ministry. 

Students expressed their gratitude to the ministry for the lecture saying that they don’t get such lessons in their daily studies.

Sambo re-elected Regional Director

During the on-going 59th Session of the World Health Organisation Regional  Dr. Luis Gomes Sambo of Angola was re-elected as the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Regional Director for Africa.

Member States of the 59th Session of the WHO’s Regional Committee unanimously voted for him to serve a second five-year term.

The election took place yesterday during the annual session of the regional governing body in Kigali, Rwanda. He formally begins his second term on February 1, 2010.

Rusizi officials meet

The Executive Secretaries of Rusizi District yesterday met to discuss ways to reduce the rising number of cases of domestic violence and improving the security situation of the area.
