HAMAD Ndikumana alias Katauti and Saidi Abedi Makasi are expected to join the Amavubi Stars training camp today ahead of a crucial 2010 World Cup qualifier against Egypt set for this Saturday at Amahoro stadium.

Both Ndikumana (AEL Limassol) and Makasi (Difaa El Jadida) jet in the country this morning [10:30 local time] aboard Kenya Airways.

The pair is the latest to link up with the national team following Haruna Niyonzima, who returned to the country last Thursday from doing professional trials with Swiss club FC Bern.

Skipper Olivier Karekezi, who was rejected by English Division Two [fourth division] club Notts County and defender Boubakary Saddou, who plays for Libya’s Ahly Tripoli are also in camp.

Striker Makasi was dropped from the squad following a disappointing display in Rwanda’s humiliating 0-3 loss to Egypt in July in Cairo.

Meanwhile, striker Bobo Bola, who is now a free agent after being released by Swedish second division side Landskrona BoIS, has articulated his readiness to respond for national duty whenever the coach needs him.

The flashy DR Congo born striker scored his only international goal in Rwanda’s 1-0 win against Mauritania during the last qualifying. Since then, coach Branko Tucak has given him a cold shoulder despite his team’s main dilemma lies in the striking line.
