The second day of the National Volleyball League playoffs saw the 2023/24 defending champions APR VC sweep Kepler VC in three straight sets (25-20, 25-22, 25-19) at Petit Stade Indoor Gymnasium on Saturday, March 15.
APR started the match with so much energy and took the opening set 25-20, leaving Kepler VC, led by captain Ivan Muhoza, struggling.
Paul Akan's serves, coupled with strong hitting from Hakeem Mukaila and Dennis Esekoni, secured the second (25-22) and third sets (25-19) for the army side who were so dominant throughout the match.

In the women&039;s category, a tight battle unfolded between Peter Kamasa’s APR WVC and Elia Mutabazi’s RRA who went toe-to-toe until they were separated by the tie-break set.
APR WVC started strong, winning the first two sets 30-28 and 25-21 respectively. However, RRA, led by captain Olive Nzamukosha, fought back to win the third and fourth sets 25-23 and 25-22. Despite this comeback, APR WVC secured the decisive fifth set 15-08 to take home the hard-fought victory.
APR may have bagged their first win in the semifinals playoffs but there is more to come from the next two games which promise tough battles between the two sides.
