Fitnesspoint, a leading fitness and wellness centre, is officially launching it’s third new branch at Vision Arcade Plaza in Gacuriro, Gasabo District this month. This expansion aims to cater to a broader clientele, from professional athletes to families seeking a healthier lifestyle, while also accommodating members affected by the relocation from Nyarutarama.

The Gacuriro branch will continue offering a wide range of classes, including aerobics, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, calisthenics, trampoline workouts, belly and glute camp, and kickboxing, among others. Additionally, members with a subscription at this branch will have access to all other Fitnesspoint locations.

Since its establishment in 2019, Fitnesspoint has positioned itself as a leader in Kigali’s fitness industry, with existing branches in Remera and Kimihurura. With a long-term vision of expanding to secondary cities across Rwanda, the gym is committed to making fitness accessible nationwide.

Eric Musanganya, Fitnesspoint’s Business Development Manager, explained the strategic decision behind the move.

"One of the key reasons for this expansion is our ambition to establish a strong presence across Kigali and, eventually, the entire country. Gacuriro and Nyarutarama have a thriving fitness culture, and we saw an opportunity to fill the gap by offering a high-quality facility with top-tier equipment and exceptional services. Our goal is to introduce people to a truly professional gym experience,” said Musanganya.

In addition to its well-known personal coaching services, Fitnesspoint is introducing a new customer service initiative to enhance the overall gym experience.

Musanganya emphasised that many people are unfamiliar with fitness and workout routines, so the gym will focus on education and guidance.

"If you come to the gym for the first time, or even the second, we treat you as someone new to the fitness world. We take the time to introduce you to the machines, explain their functions, and help you set realistic fitness goals. We are focused on long-term results rather than quick fixes,” he said.

The gym also offers specialised services, including nutrition guidance and physiotherapy for individuals recovering from injuries.

Hakim Hashim, the manager of the Gacuriro branch, brings extensive experience from Sweden, where he worked in the fitness industry for several years. His primary focus is elevating customer service standards within the gym.

"My vision is to provide top-tier service to every client. People come to the gym expecting quality service, not just to pay for membership. I want to ensure they receive the attention and professionalism they deserve. Trainers should focus 100 per cent on their clients, and any distractions, such as phone use during training sessions, will not be tolerated,” Hashim said.

Having observed service gaps in the industry, Hashim was compelled to stay in Rwanda to implement necessary changes at Fitnesspoint.

With its new branch in Gacuriro, Fitnesspoint continues to solidify its reputation as a leader in the Rwandan fitness industry.

By prioritising customer service, offering a variety of fitness programmes, and introducing educational initiatives, the gym aims to set a new standard for fitness and wellness in Kigali and beyond.
